Sirajum Munira (Holy Prophet SAW) a Light of Straight Path

Holy Prophet As Siraj Munira

O Prophet! Truly We have sent you as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and Warner,-
And as one who invites to Allah’s (grace) by His leave, and as a lamp spreading light(33:45-46).

The actual words used in Arabic in the Quran for Mohammad (pbuh) are “Siraj-um-Muneera”. means an illuminating lamp spreading light all over. In the other surah same words are used for the sun. The sun has got its own importance in the solar system. It has got its own light and it spreads its light in the entire universe. So is the case with Mohammad. Just like sun lies in the middle of the solar system and spreads its light all over, if we see the position of ka’aba-tu-allah in the city of Makkah it has got a middle position in the earth. Just like everything has a center, earth has a center lies in Ka’aba-tu-allah. This illuminating lamp i.e, the personality of Mohammad arose from Makkah and he started his preaching from there. soon this light spreaded all over the world. there seem no such apostle or preacher who was able to convey his message just in such a short period of time.
But we see that everyone on earth does not believe in the last prophet sent by Allah (saw). why is that so. why they can’t see that light of this sun. The reason is that just as blind people cannot see the light so is the case with such people who are not blind infect but their vision of heart is zero. and they themselves have made it so otherwise if they had opened their eyes of heart they would have found the truth. so is mentioned in the Quran.
All these metaphors reflect the Holy Prophet’s mission and contain deep meanings. Their proper understanding can be an engine for creating a more united and cohesive worldwide Muslim community. One such metaphor of the Holy Prophet is sirajum munirah. As-siraj means the lamp which emits light to banish darkness. In verse 71:16 Allah says we have made the sun as-Siraj (a lamp). The Prophet is like the sun, whose spiritual light, guidance, knowledge and examples of ethical behavior illuminate the believer’s path. They find eternal peace, happiness and success in the world and the hereafter.
In our physical world, the sun has many distinctive features. First, it is one of the greatest signs of Allah’s creation, which emits light, energy and heat from the very start. It never sets, though we tend to say that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. In actuality it never rises nor sets. It rotates around its axis and is ever-shining, ever-glowing. The earth’s portion which falls in front of it becomes bright and a new day dawns. Similarly, the Holy Prophet — being the spiritual sun — never sets. He is the last and final Prophet and his light continues to guide humanity in general and believers in particular towards eternal bliss.
